What is the maximum package size?
Do you want to ship a 2 m package? With conventional parcel services such as DHL, you will quickly run into limitations – not with Cargoboard! We make shipping large packages flexible, reliable and free of complicated restrictions.
Whether you want to ship an XXL package or a particularly long package weighing 45 kg – these dimensions are no problem for us. Even if you want to ship a 70 kg package, costs and handling remain transparent and simple with us.
While many providers restrict the shipping of long packages, Cargoboard lets you ship large packages without difficulty – quickly, efficiently and with no hidden additional costs.
Ship a 40 kg package
Shipping a 40 kg package is no problem with us! However, from 30 kg, it must be palletised and accessible from underneath. The package should also be secured on the pallet with lashing straps or film. With the right packaging, you can ship your 40 kg package with us – safely, reliably and without complicated restrictions.
Ship a 50 kg package
Do you want to ship a 50 kg package? With Cargoboard, this is easily possible! To ensure the transport runs smoothly, this package must also be placed on a pallet and be accessible from underneath from 30 kg upwards. It should also be secured with lashing straps and film. This allows you to ship your 50 kg package without having to worry about damage or transport restrictions.
Costs for shipping a large package - how are they calculated?
The costs of shipping a large package depend on several factors, including size, weight and route.
We also offer two shipping options, which likewise affect the cost of shipping large packages.
Standard shipping
A cost-effective solution suitable for transports where a slightly longer transit time is not a decisive factor.
Premium shipping
For particularly urgent transports, our Premium shipping is the right option. Your shipment is prioritised and reaches its destination quickly and reliably.

The right packaging for shipping large packages
1. Wrap goods in bubble wrap

Insure a large package for transport
There is no standard insurance for shipping large packages. In the event of damage, only liability under the German Freight Forwarders’ Standard Terms and Condition (ADSP) applies.

Wie versende ich ein großes Paket?
Ein großes Paket zu versenden ist ganz einfach: Geben Sie Ihre Daten online ein, und Sie erhalten sofort den passenden Preis. Wichtig ist eine stabile Verpackung – nutzen Sie robuste Kartons, Polstermaterial und Klebeband. Ab einem Gewicht von 30 kg muss Ihre Sendung auf einer Palette transportiert werden. Nach der Buchung holen wir Ihr Paket direkt bei Ihnen ab und liefern es zuverlässig an die Zieladresse.
Kann ich ein großes Paket auch als Privatperson versenden?
Wir bieten den Versand von großen Paketen ausschließlich für Gewerbekunden, Behörden und Unternehmen an. Ein Transport im Auftrag von Privatpersonen ist komplett ausgeschlossen.

Ist mein Transport versichert, wenn ich ein großes Paket versenden?
Standardmäßig ist Ihr Versand nicht durch eine separate Versicherung gedeckt. Im Falle eines Verlustes oder Schadens greift lediglich die gesetzliche Transporthaftung, welche eine Entschädigung von etwa 10 € pro Kilogramm Schadensgewicht vorsieht. Das bedeutet, dass sich die Entschädigung ausschließlich auf das Schadensgewicht des beschädigten oder verlorenen Guts bezieht. Als Beispiel: Wird ein Laptop mit einem Gewicht von 2 kg beschädigt, würde die Haftung lediglich eine Entschädigung von 20 € vorsehen.
